Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon Super S

Air Dates: 3/4/95-3/2/96 (episodes 128-166)

Villains are the Dead Moon Circus (Amazon Trio, Amazoness Quartet, Zirconia) and Nephrenia. Eventually all the senshi power-up to their "Super" forms about half way through the season. Heavily based around Usagi and Chibi-Usa, it's not as serious as the previous series. It focuses more on doing interesting things with the characters. Maybe because of this the ratings took a nose dive and interest was at an all time low. The animation and sound quality however were raised up, though not exactly to "Super" level. The Outer Senshi don't appear except in an unnumbered special.

Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon
Sailor Stars

Air Dates: 3/16/96-2/8/97 (episodes 167-200)

Episodes 167-172 are considered the real ending of SuperS. After that, a new story begins with the villain Sailor Galaxia from Shadow Galactica, whose henchmen (the Sailor Anima-mates) are Iron Mouse, Aluminum Siren, Lead Crow, and Tin Nyanko. Introduction of the three Sailor Stars, who are males in civilain form and change to females as Sailor Senshi. Chibi-Chibi, an even younger character than Chibi-Usa, shows up and causes some problems. Chibi-Usa doesn't appear except for cameos, and Tuxedo Mask leaves for Harvard in episode 173 (gets kidnapped by the new villain right off the plane), and doesn't show up until the end. The Outer Senshi appear sporadically. The last few episodes reveal a lot about the true nature of the Senshi powers (naturally) and I will try to avoid spoiling it for you all.
